Senior Commercial Account Manager
Account Managers exist to keep our clients happy and informed by educating them on risk and responding to our clients needs in both a professional and in timely manner.
The commercial Servicing Team is client focused, efficiently managing the client relationship with the goal of retaining our customers and cross selling our various products.
Maintaining a positive working relationship with all stakeholders (Underwriters/Account Executives/TSR)
Responsibilities Include:
Handling and maintaining a book of business, while contributing to maintaining our department’s minimum retention level of 90%.
Performing all service functions of the commercial accounts in your designated portfolio.
- Work closely with Account Executives and TSR
- Successfully negotiate and process renewals (30+ days from renewal)
- Create Submission and Remarket (60-90 days)
- E&O/D&O renewal applications out (60 days in advance of renewal)
- Handling incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Answering questions clearly by using professional written communication skills.
- Process claims & follow up 24hr/15 & 30 days with client and as needed
- Invoicing and maintaining account receivables (nothing over 45 days)
- Minimum 90% individual retention
- Keep both TAM and Policy Works up to date
- Work independently without supervision
Qualifications:
Required:
RIBO licensed 5+yrs licensed with 5+yrs commercial experience
Technical Expertise, all Commercial Lines
Desired:
CAIB designation or working towards same an asset

The job is to:
- Retain clients through strong relationship management skills by exceeding expectations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly with a solutions focused mindset to claim inquiries providing claims counselling when appropriate and reports to the insurance company by following the internal claim procedure.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of new and existing products and current market conditions to educate and introduce new products by reading company emails, attending in house company meetings, webinars and internal department meetings.
- Encourage clients to use added value services – i.e. commercial and financial services
- Provide client change information to the insurer and adhere to the company’s binding period.
- Clearly communicate with all stakeholders in order to ensure clarity, provide optimum customer satisfaction, internal team cohesiveness and decrease risk of E&O.
- Review renewals with clients, verify updates and discounts are applied, correct coverage is in place and premium is satisfactory or remarket to an alternate carrier.
- Update TAM data base per internal SOP and collect up-to date contact information on clients by confirming client detail information on database.
